Salisu Yusuf Tipped to Replace Inconsistant Jose Peseiro

A board member of Nigerian football Federal (NFF) Hon. Nse Essien has said the football House will relieve the Head coach of the senior team Super Eagles of his job if they are able to raise the cash they need to pay him off.

Nigeria has just two point from possible six, after their two games of the qualifiers for 2026 world Cup, following a draw against Lesotho in Uyo and Zimbabwe in Rwanda.

The result has put the Head coach of the team under pressure while many football loving fans are calling for him to be relieve as the senior team tactician.

Since taking over as the Head coach, the team has lost 60% of matches he has handled.

Football stakeholders, Ex fooyballers are calling for the new NFF led board to consider an indigineous coach from Nigeria to the lead the Super Eagles during the 2024 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

Former Enugu Rangers, Kano Pillars, CHAN Eagles, Interim Head Coach of the Super Eagles Salisu Yusuf has been tipped to replace the inconsistant José Peseiro considering his wealth of experience.

Footabll loving fans on the other hand, are also saying Yusuf is capable of meeting the expectations of Nigerians in bringing back the old glory days ahead of the 2024 AFCON comes January next year.

Former technical director Nigerian football Federal NFF Tunde Disu in an interview with newsmen said ”Salisu Yusuf track records has said it all having had a promising career path working as an assistant coach to Samson Siasia and late Stephen Keshi as well as former Eagles coach Gernot Rhor. He also believed if given the job, he can surpass the country’s previous achievement at the 2024 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

It is yet to be seen who next should be the next Head coach of the Senior team, considering various opinion from Nigerians to fire current coach José Peseiro.
