The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has attacked men of the Nigerian Police Force at a checkpoint at Mairari in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state.
It was gathered that the attack occurred on Monday night, Dec. 4, when the attackers stormed the Police crack team FOB base.

The Intelligence sources confirmed the development to Zagazola Makama, the security and Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lakechad region.
According to the sources a heavy gun battle ensued between the police and the ISWAP terrorists which lasted for 15 minutes, forcing the terrorists to withdraw.
