The Kano State Head of Civil Service, also the Acting Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Abdullahi Musa has today lead a powerful delegation of Permanent Secretaries, Directors and other Senior and Junior Staff within the Audu Bako Secretariat for the general cleanness and Sanitation exercise within the premises of the Secretariat with a view to having a conducive working environment.
In a statement signed by director public relations and enlightenment of the Kano state ministry of environment Ismail Garba Gwammaja said the head of service expressed dismay on the state of dirty situation of the Secretariat.
According to him, when he assumed duty as the head of service, after conducting round some of the premises of the Secretariat he invites all the permanent Secretaries and head of agencies within the Secretariat and discussed on how best to make the environment clean and habitable.

The meeting therefore unanimously agreed to embark on a weekly sanitation exercise within the Secretariat for the time being.
“Alhaji Abdullahi Musa further explained that the present administration is committed and desirous to issues relating to environmental sanitation, as a fundamental agenda of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf the executive governor of Kano State.
He therefore charged all Permanent Secretaries and other head of agencies within the Secretariat to ensure compliance at their respective MDAs, in consideration of the facts that Audu Bako Secretariat is an epicentre for all workers and visitors that may come to the State as well as accommodating large number of the civil servants in the state.
Earlier, The Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Garo, commended the head of service for taking the bull by the horns in supporting the ministry mandate to ensure a smooth and safe environment devoid of waste.
Garo on behalf of the entire civil servants pledged to ensure compliance of the directives for accelerated development.
