The Office of the Borno State governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum was gutted by fire this morning.
The extent of damage of the fire, which affected the main office of the Executive Governor could not be ascertained as of press time.
A Security Analyst and Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lakechad region and west Africa Zagazola Makama was quoted as saying that the Governor was at his other office at the Musa Usman Secretariat when the incident happened.

At 12:29 pm, fire service vehicles were seen going out of the government house in an after it putoff the fire.
Vehicles, workers and the Press going into the government house were barred from going in by the police at the main entrance of the government.
