The state house of Assembly, Zamfara has deliberated and passed the Bill seeking the house to revised 2023 appropriation bill and to passed a supplementary budget of over four billion naira from the state revenue fund.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Amiru Ahmed Keta who cleared air on the supplementary budget presented to the house by Governor Dauda lawal said after deliberation, the committee of the whole house gives green light.
Keita said the request of the supplementary budget presented to the house has already been approved and passed into law by the honourable members, considering the fact that, the present administration under the leadership of governor Dauda Lawal has commenced executing developmental projects in the state.

According to him, the past administration has presented a budget of One hundred and eighty Nine Billion, Six hundred and Thirty Nine Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty Nine Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirty Seven Naira Forty Kobo only for the Fiscal year 2023.
In view of the above, the past administration has left a lot of developmental projects that have direct bearing to the people of the state, and the budget they targeted cannot complete the projects that is why they requested for the supplementary budget of N4,764,810,330,34k
The Lawmakers further disclosed that, during the past administration, there are so many contracts given and have not been executed, and now the cost of materials have rise up, therefore more funds are needed to bridge the gap.

He added that, the legislative arm are working together with the executive arm of government In order to bring positive changes in the state and also to rescue it from total collapse.
He also outline some achievements of the present administration under governor Dauda Lawal within eight months as he put much resources on education, payment of WAEC and NECO Examination fees to the students,as well as putting state of emergency on education among others.
