BREAKING: Russia, Japan Declares Tsunami Warning After 7.6 Magnitude Earthquake

Russia and Japan has issued a Tsunami warning after series of Magnitude Earthquake hit Japan western coastline.

Reports says a succession of 21 earthquakes registering 4.0 magnitude or stronger struck central Japan in just over 90 minutes.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has said that the strongest jolt measured 7.6.

Japan has told people to evacuate coastal areas of Ishikawa and lower-level ones or advisories for the rest of the western coast of Japan’s main island of Honshu.

Japanese public broadcaster NHK TV which was quoted by Aljazeera warned torrents of water could reach as high as 5 meters (16.5 feet) and urged people to flee to higher ground or the top of nearby buildings as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Russia has declared a tsunami warning in the far eastern cities of Vladivostok and Nakhodka.

The state news agency TASS reports, citing the cities’ mayoralties as emergency services in Sakhalin island near Japan declared a “tsunami alert.”

Aljazeera Media Network reports monitored by GLOBAL TRACKER said that authorities in Vladivostok also announced an alert and ordered fishermen to “urgently get back to shore”.
