NHFSS Operatives Rescued Three Kidnapped Victims in Kebbi

The Nigeria Hunters and Forestry Security Service NHFSS in Kebbi State says, it has rescued a woman and with two children from the forest after her husband was killed by bandits for the wife refused to marry the kingpin of the bandits.

The State Commander of the Service, Ambassador Musa Hussein Rambo who stated this while addressing journalists Birnin Kebbi said the woman and her two children were discovered in the forest between Fakai and Koko area of the state.

According to him, the woman narrated to the men of the service how her husband was killed because she refused to marry a member of the gang since she was a spinster at a very young age.

“Luckily we were able to apprehend the gang member who wanted to forcefully married her in the forest and had since reunited her with her family members”.

Rambo said they also discovered the skeleton of another woman with her jewellery and waist beads in addition to several graves where some kidnapped victims were buried in the forest.

He said, members of the security service had been working with other security agents to tackle banditry and other criminalities in the state.

He called on President and the leadership of the National Assembly to ensure that, their enabling bill which he said had gone through the legislative proceedings is signed into law.
