The leadership of the All-Progressive Congress (APC), People Democratic Party (PDP) and other leading political parties in Jigawa state have signed peace accord ahead of the forthcoming rerun election of Birnin Kudu/ Buji Federal Constituency.
The public relation officer of the Jigawa state police command DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam disclosed this in a three-paragraph statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER.
According to him, “Today, 23rd January 2024, the Jigawa State Police Command under the able leadership CP AT ABDULLAHI, psc organized a peace accord signing for the forthcoming rerun election of Birnin Kudu/ Buji Federal Constituency scheduled to hold on Saturday 3rd February 2024.”

“Resident Electoral Commissioner, Jigawa State, members of the Command’s Management Team, Divisional Police Officer of Birnin Kudu, Buji and Bamaina, party leaders/candidates of both All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were grace the occasion,” said the statement.
“Lastly, the CP vowed to deal decisively with anyone trying to cause chaos before, during and after the election. He also assured the parties that police are neutral and non-partisan, and will continue to create plain-level grounds for all during the election, he added.
