Kebbi NIS to Revalitised Division For Optimum Performance, Intelligence Gathering

The new Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service Kebbi state Command, Saidu Mohammed Sabo, says, he would focus on revatilizing divisional offices in the 21 local government areas to ensure effective performance and intelligence gathering.

The Comptroller, who stated this while speaking with newsmen on assumption of office, said from the local governments they gather intelligence gathering not only for the Immigration Service but other security agencies in the state.

He said during his stay as Passport Control officer of the state, he discovered that, there was bulk of work of the service at the local governments level and was also little laxity which i will now focus on to Improve the section for effective and efficient discharge of duty.

“The primary functions of the Immigration Service is to monitor the activities of foreigners before during after and while they are in Nigeria.”

Saidu Sabo assured the service commitment to discharge its primary responsibility that include strategizing with other security agencies and the state government.

“The Immigration Service has Just introduced the newly automation process in reaching obtaining Passport where applicant don’t need to go to Passport Office except when on capturing, which is commend a le to the Comptroller General of Immigration”.

The Comptroller, however cautioned the public on the need to be careful on dwaling with the personnel of the service when obtaining Passport.

He also called on officers and men of the service to brease up to ensure effective and efficient performance.
