The Special Center for Academic Prestige and Orientation (SCAPO) has commenced the Catch them young program for Empowering youth Education that less have Privileged to get the education.
The Independent Mirror reported that the program took place at Mumbayya House, Gwammaja Dala Local Government, in Kano on Sunday 28, January 2024.
The event is scheduled by SCAPO Old students’ association, in collaboration with SCAPO Catch Them Young about taking out-of-school and left-out children back to school.

The Catch Them Young program is a way to create a brighter future for younger generations, that will sow the seeds into the hearts of these younger minds in order to blossom into greater achievements.
In his welcoming remarks, Zamzilu Ado Jibril, the Director of the Special Center for Academic Prestige and Orientation (SCAPO) said the main aim to establish the center is to enshrined in the motto “War against F9”
”The main motive behind the establishment of the SEG as an institutional learning Centre, is to academically prepare students excellently in passing their exams, namely WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and JAMB, on one hand, and to orient them”
”In view of the foregoing, the need to have a more formal and advanced research-b, introduction to the project, like Objectives, Components, and Results Framework”. He said
Zamzilu Ado also pointed out that the main idea behind the unveiling of SCAPO CATCH THEM YOUNG PROJECT is to identify, and bring those financially excluded, vulnerable, less-privileged, drop-out or out-of-school as well as left-out children in Primary back to school.

”We all believe that education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and empowers individuals to a fulfilling life. Hence, the Project aims to create opportunities for these children to access education to enable them to build a brighter future. ”
”At this point, I feel obliged to provide justification behind the introduction of SCAPO Catch-Them-Young Project, which is the issue of over 20 million Out-of-School children in Nigeria according to UNESCO Report, 2020” Zamzilu added.
While presenting his Speech, Malam Bashir Abubakar Tahir, Director of SCAPO CATCH THEM YOUNG PROJECT said, the Project consists of three different but interrelated phases, with the first Phase targeting about 210 pupils to be selected across 7 LGAs that have low primary school intake.
He also added that the second Phase will target about 290 pupils across 15 LGAs, while the third Phase will target about 500 pupils across the other remaining 22 LGAs.
”As we unveil the Project today, it is expected that the donors for the first Phase of the Project will come solely from old SCAPO students, and the targeted pupils will be from public schools only, while in the second and third Phases, both public and private schools will be considered”
SCAPO CATCH THEM YOUNG PROJECT support from all members, as well as all the staff of SCAPO with particular reference to the members under Committees and various Sub-Committees formed purposely for this Project.
Including Malam Muhammad Hassan, Maam Ibrahim Haruna, Malam Abubakar Ahmad, Malam Bashir Abubakar Tahir, Malam Hamza Salisu, Malam Sambo, Inusa Rabi’u, Malam Muhammad Nazir Datti, Malam Saleem Habeeb Salem and present SCAPO Academy Chairman, Mal. Abubakar Badamasi.
The vision for SCAPO is to become a global supply chain of educational services and academic support for financially less-privileged people and become a Centre of educational development that meets the social, financial, and academic demands and challenges of 21st century children in developing countries, particularly Nigeria.
