One Person Killed, Properties Worth Millions Guts By Fire at Gusau Central Market

A fire outbreak has resulted to the killing of one person and burnt down many shops and properties worth millions of naira at Gusau Central Market.

The Zamfara State Director of the Fire Service, Abdullahi Jibo Dauran disclosed this in an in interview with Radio Nigeria in Gusau, the state capital.

Dauran said they received a report of the fire outbreak at about 8 pm last night and quickly mobilized their men to the scene of the disaster and controlled it but unfortunately one person lost his life.

He the deceased lost his life while trying to remove his properties from the shops but the fire over powered him.

According to him, the Command is compiling the report of the properties lost and the level of Damage coursed by the inferno.

He appealed to good people of the state to always adhere to the rules, guidelines given by the fire service officers for their safety.
