The Jigawa state commissioner of police AT Abdullahi has ordered an intensive and clinical investigation on the course of death of one Esther Adekanla best known as Hadiza Nakowa Dutse and injured her daughter Christian Michael.
In a statement by DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command public relations officer said CP Abdullahi gave the order after detective team of the command found a lifeless body of Esther and her daughter locked in a store.
The statement read “On 15/0I/2024 at about 1600hrs, information at Command’s disposal revealed that one Esther Adekanla ‘f’ of opposite Awajil Filling Station Dutse, popularly known as HADIZA NAKOWA DUTSE was last seen on 12/02/2024 which made her neighbors become suspicious of her being missing, as all efforts made to reach her phone lines proved abortive.”

“On receipt of the report, detectives from the Dutse Division swung into action and proceeded to her house, on their arrival, it was discovered that the house was locked, but the door was forced open where her body was found in the sitting room lying lifeless in a pool of blood.”
The team also observed visible cuts on her head and neck and the body has started decomposing.
Her daughter one Christiana Michael ‘F’ age 11yrs was found locked in a store with cuts on her head too alive but unconscious.
According to the statement sent to journalists including GLOBAL TRACKER correspondent, both the corpse and the victim were rushed to Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital for confirmation and to treat the injured daughter. She was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
But later, the corpse was conveyed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) for autopsy.

Meanwhile, by recognizing the gravity of the offence committed, CP Abdullahi directed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse to clinically and thoroughly investigate the incident to unravel the cause of her killing and arrest the fleeing culprits.
Abdullahi called on the good people of the area to remain calm and cooperate with the Police to ensure that, those suspects have been brought to book.
Lastly, Abdullahi has promised that anybody found wanting would be prosecuted accordingly.
