The Community Support and Development Initiative (CSADI) has donated food items and detergent to the nearly 90 children at the remand children in Gwauran duty of Kano metropolis as part of the initiatives to provide scour them ahead of the commencement of the month of Ramadan.
The chairperson of the association Mrs Zainab Ahmed Suleiman while distributing the items to the beneficiaries said the gesture is to encourage them to be good leaders of tomorrow.
According to her, the association will also pay the fines for some children who were remanded as a result of a fine against them before a different court of law.

Mrs Suleiman said the association has sought the services of barrister Fatima Haruna Zakari who will follow the cases of some of the children in various courts of law to ensure the settlement of their cases and to be reunited with their families.
“We have a lawyer with us and she will follow some of your cases, those with fines we all pay for but they must assure us that they will not come back here, those of you who are here for the second time must promise us not to come back again before we do anything for you,” she said.
She then urged parents and caregivers to monitor their subjects and ensure that their children did not commit any wrongdoing.
In a remark, the head of the remand home Malam Musa Idris Tarauni thanked Mrs Suleiman for the gesture and assured her that the donated items would be judiciously used.
He urged wealthy individuals to support his children staying at the remand home saying whoever supported the needy Allah would look after him.
“We’ve about 89 children here including three ladies, we take of them all here, and we want well-to-do individuals to them to do their pasting happily,” he added.
