Hisbah Treated Over 650 Cases From August 2023 To Date

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Architect Muhammad Sani Aliyu, says from last August to date, the state Hisbah Command has recorded over Six Hundred and Fifty Cases across the state.

The Commissioner who stated this in Birnin Kebbi, said, the cases include social vices, marital issues, abandoned children, and mental disorders amongst others and it affects all religions.

He said some of the cases were treated at the Hisba office while others were referred to the Police, NSCDC, DSS, and Court as Hisbah officials don’t make arrests but collaborate with the mentioned security agents attached to the command for any arrest.

According to him, Hisba intends to sanitize the society and to ensure they rid of those that are trying to cause trouble in the state and it also affects both religions.

On the Issue of Ramadan breakfast to be provided by the state government, the Commissioner pointed out that, a committee has been set to oversee the program saying, the era of providing cooked food to centers during Ramadan by the government is over as it decided to provide grains so that an entire household would benefit from the feeding.

Archtech Sani Aliyu, explained further that, the arrangement was that, the feeding goes across the twenty-one local government areas with nine mosques in each of the local government areas while fifteen mosques in the state capital were selected.
