Kebbi First Lady, Distributes Palliatives to Widows of Fallen Soldiers

The Wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasir Idris, has expressed sympathy with the widows of fallen heroes, saying, the Nasiru Idris-led administration will provide the necessary succor to them and their children to cushion the effect of daily life challenges.

Mrs. Idris gave the assurance while distributing palliatives to the widows of the 223 Battalion Zuru in Kebbi State.

The First Lady was at the Army Barracks in Zuru to condole with the families of the departed soldiers and provide them with food items and cash assistance.

The Governor’s wife, enjoined the widows to strengthen their faith in God, “death has been ordained as DIVINE predestination on all mortal,” praying to The ALMIGHTY to grant them mercy for paying the supreme price in active duty to safeguard the nation.

She, therefore, advised the widows to strive hard to maintain the moral and educational upbringing of their children who are now orphans by circumstances.

Responding, the Commanding Officer of the 223 Battalion Zuru, Colonel Iliya, commended the first lady for the gesture to the families of the fallen Soldiers.

Speaking on behalf of the widows, Mrs. Ladi Rabo, described the wife of the Governor as a kindhearted person and thanked her for bringing relief materials to the families of the fallen soldiers to enhance their welfare.
