Pillars Wins Federation Cup, As Usman Ghali Bags SWAN Pop Cola MVP Award

Kano Pillars Football Club emerged victorious in the 2024 State Federation Cup finals held at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Saturday, 30th March 2024.

Pillars also known as Sai Masu Gida, secured a hard-fought win against Pro Line FC with a lone goal in the ninety-minute encounter.

Pillars opened the scoring with a goal from Usman Ghali in the 20th minute, following a precise pass from Mustapha Umar.

Despite several attempts from both sides, the scoreline remained unchanged, ultimately leading to Kano Pillars clinching the championship title.

In the 74th minute of the game, Pillars’ player Saidu Adamu was shown a red card by the center referee, Habibu Ghali, for abusive language.

Despite playing with ten men for the remaining duration of the match, Kano Pillars displayed resilience and determination to maintain their lead and eventually win the game.

Usman Ghali’s crucial goal and impactful performance earned him the SWAN Kano Pop Cola Man of the Match award.

He received the award from the Pop Cola representative, Shamsu Manager, assisted by Engr. Sulaiman Musa Sultan, the CEO of Intertech Academy.

With a passionate display of skill and determination by Pro Line FC, Kano Pillars emerged as the champions of the 2024 Kano State Federation Cup, solidifying their place as a formidable force in Nigerian football.

The victory at the Sani Abacha Stadium will undoubtedly be remembered as a historic moment for the club and its devoted fans.
