Typical of the Syndrome of African dictators who desire to sit tight in the saddle of Leadership is no secret, President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda has proven himself as one operating a single leadership dynasty.
Museveni after spending almost four decades on the throne calling the shot, still operates without surrounding himself with key position holders that no one believes come from the precincts of his family.
For the sake of record keeping, Uganda’s chief of Defense and military is his son Lieutenant-General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the governor of the Nation’s apex bank Natasha Museveni is his daughter, the education minister is his wife Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, and to cap it all he is the incumbent President.
Given this development, however, the player for dictators in Africa to sit tight and remain in the saddle of power has proven to everyone that the wealth of Africa will continue to remain in the hands of those who believe that leadership is their birthright.
