The Kano state command of Nigeria Hunter and Forest Security Service(NHFSS) says it has deployed 2,550 personnel across five (5) emirate councils in the state to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration.
The Kano state commandant of the service Abdullahi Al-ameen disclosed this in an exclusive chat with journalists in Kano on Monday night.
According to Al-Ameen, the personnel was deployed to ensure maximum security and forestall any security threats or possible breakdown of law and order before, during, and after Sallah festivities.
The commander said Kano Emirate was the most congested among all the five, 1,250 personnel were deployed, while Gaya had 300 operatives, Bichi with 350, Rano 350, and Karaye 300 personnel.
He said all local government and unit commanders were directed to monitor the activities closely with other security operatives to maintain the security of the lives and properties of the general populace.
Al-Ameen warned thugs, Phone snatchers and other people thinking of disrupting public peace to desist from such acts as the command and all other security outfits will work closely to deal with anyone found wanting.
