Media networks have rallied around all faith leaders to join in the inaugural Kaduna Interfaith Dialogue (KID), organized by Search for Common Ground Nigeria (SFCGN), in collaboration with other stakeholders dedicated to peace-building in the state.

Given the above, the Kaduna Network of Peace Journalists (NPJ), has launched a widespread media campaign aimed at urging all faith leaders in the state to participate in the workshop.

This initiative according to the Network, seeks to promote religious tolerance, peace, and unity in the state.

A statement issued and signed by the Team Lead of NPJ, Comrade Ibrahima Yakubu, on Sunday, made available to newsmen stated that KID stands as a beacon of hope, fostering understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different religions in the state.

“This workshop for religious leaders in the state offers a pivotal opportunity to strengthen relations and offer solutions to mitigate future crises related to ethno-religious tensions,” said Yakubu.

The statement explained that the upcoming KID acts as a powerful catalyst for building bridges of understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different faiths. It serves as a beacon of hope in a world where religious diversity can be a source of richness and tension.

The event scheduled as planned for May 2, 2024, signifies a crucial step towards promoting harmony and cooperation in Kaduna and beyond.
