The Civil Society in Malaria Control Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN) has visited Kano State’s primary healthcare management agency (SPHCMB) as part of its stakeholder visitation to solicit support in the implementation of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Grant Cycle 7 (GC7) Project in Kano state.
The Visitation team leader Dr. Nura Haladu said the stakeholder’s engagement was part of the Familiarization visit aimed at building a strong relationship with the agency so that issues identified by the Community Accountability Team (CAT) can be reported for quick and appropriate actions.
According to him, the visit tends to showcase numerous achievements recorded by ACOMIN in its local government of operation in the state.
“We are here to help, works in some local government in Kano, our activities focused on maximum provisions as well as utilization of all commodities provided by global funds,” said Haladu.
“Before, our focus was Malaria commodities only, now we are engaged in other areas which include commodities for HIV & Aids and Tuberculosis,” he added.
Also speaking, ACOMIN Kano state program officer Malam Sharif Abubakar assured their commitment to complementing the state government in addressing all health issues in the state.
In a remark, the director of planning, monitoring, and evaluation(DPME) DRr. Bashir Sanusi described the visit as timely, promising to work with ACOMIN in achieving the set objectives.
“Our doors remain open to you anytime, we are looking forward to working with you,” said Dr. Bashir.
