The Kano state government has approved the suspension of the managing director of Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) Mustapha Indabawa.
The suspension followed a series of allegations of misappropriation of over one hundred million Naira level against the MD by Kano state public complain and anti corruption Commission in a suit before a court of law in Kano.
However, the state government appointed the deputy managing director (DMD) of the station Hajiya Hauwa Isa Ibrahim as acting managing director.
In a letter to the DMD, the secretary to the state government Dr. Bappa Bichi instructed Hauwa to takeover the affairs of the station with immediate effect.
