Kano Govt. Announces Palliative Scholarship to Law Graduates

The Kano State Government has announced a special palliative scholarship program for indigenes who have studied law but did not attend law school, in a bid to support and empower its citizens.

The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board, Alhaji Kabiru Haruna Getso, revealed this opportunity during an interview with journalists at his office, marking the one-year anniversary of the successful administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

He highlighted that Kano State’s distinction as the top state in terms of providing scholarships to its citizens, as recognized by the federal government.

Haruna Get so said the State had been selected to host a five-day event bringing together key scholarship stakeholders to address crucial issues in the sector.

He encouraged Kano indigenes studying law worldwide to reach out to the Scholarship Board for opportunities, as Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has undertaken to cover their tuition fees.

The Executive Secretary praised the State Government’s achievements in sponsoring Kano indigenes for master’s degree programs globally through scholarships.

He emphasized the significant investment made in both foreign and domestic scholarships, mentioning that Governor Yusuf’s initiative of palliative scholarships marked a first in Kano State’s history.

Addressing recent rumors about the welfare of Kano indigenes studying in India, Alhaji Kabiru Haruna Getso dismissed them as baseless and politically motivated fabrications aimed at tarnishing the state’s reputation.

He then congratulate Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, on their successful one year in office, reiterating the government’s commitment to educational advancement and human capital development in Kano State.

The Executive secretary added that for further information and application procedures regarding the palliative scholarship for law graduates, interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Kano State Scholarship Board.
