Kano Govt. Okays Vacation Date for Primary, Secondary Schools

Kano State Government has directed all Primary and Post Primary Schools in the state to proceed for the Edil-Kabir Break from Friday, 14th June, 2024 to Monday 24th June, 2024 for day students, and for boarding students from Friday 14th June, 2024 to Sunday 23rd June, 2024 respectively.

In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment Ministry of Education Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru said parents and guardians of students in boarding schools are therefore requested to pick up their wards by the early hours of Friday, 14th June, 2024.

It further explained that all other aspects of the 2023/2024 school academic calendar which include the stipulated public holidays remained valid.

The statement quoted the Commissioner of Education, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa calling on parents and guardians to ensure that their children comply with the resumption date as disciplinary action will be taken against any student/pupil who fails to resume on the stipulated date.

“As we thank the good people of the state for the usual support and cooperation given to the Ministry at all times, I wish all the students and pupils for a successful Sallah Break “the statement added.
