The Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has successfully evacuated over one hundred trucks of waste at Zaria Road, Gidan Fiat, as part of the government efforts towards maintaining clean and healthy environment in the state.
The Deputy Managing Director REMASAB Alhaji Lamin Muktar Hassan who leads the operation said government is committed and concerned about the waste within Kano metropolis, hence trigger the Board to embark on this massive operation.
The Deputy Managing Director Remasab also enjoined people in the area to continue to rally round the present administration for maximum benefit.

Meanwhile, he urged people leaving in the area to desist from indiscriminate dumping of waste along the main road of Zaria instead he provided an alternative place approved by the government to served as a dumping site for the community and environs, he stressed that the board would be routinely visiting the dumping site for evacuation of waste as at when do, he pointed out.
Lamin further commended governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his sterling qualities style of leadership couple with the support from the Commissioner Environment and Climate Change Nasiru Sule Garo which yealded to positive outcome and hope the tempo would be sustain for more successes in the sector, he explained.
