NSCDC Arrests Suspected Vandal in Kano

The Kano state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) has arrested a suspected vandal, 40 years old Abdulrahman Auwal of Layin Tankin Magi, Kura LGA.

The command in a statement by its public relations officer SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi on behalf of the state commandant said the suspect was picked up by NSCDC personnel while vandalising transformer fittings and electric pole at Dakasoye village, Garun Malam Local government area.

He was arrested by Garun-Malam division of the NSCDC.

The statement said eight rod (8), three (3) Nepa insulator, forty three (43) quarter rod, 3 long nut, aluminum rod, a hammer and chisel was recovered from the suspect.

The suspect has since confessed to the crime and upon completion of investigation.

The statement added that Abdurahaman Auwal will be charged to court for prosecution.
