Kano Begin Larvicidal Control, Fumigation to end Mosquitoes.

The Kano State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has instituted measures that will bring an end mosquitoes and other insects within the metropolitan areas in the state.

The State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change Rt. Honorable Nasiru Sule Garo gave the indication while leading the operation of Larvicidal Control at various ponds, Refuse collection centers, Refuse disposal sites and other stagnant drainages within the metropolitan areas,

The Commissioner who was represented by the Director Pollution Control of the Ministry Alh. Abba Adamu Takai further explained that apart from the Larvicidal Control they also carried out Fumigation exercise to control mosquitoes and other insects, he added.

The Commissioner said government is desirous and passionate to the well being of its teeming populace by way of safeguarding and tiding off their environment to look very habitable and healthy for living.

He than praised governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for identifying with yearning and aspiration of the people in the state by providing enabling and healthy environment for the overall development.

Garo charged people in the state to reciprocate the gesture by putting all hands on the table to ensure regular sanitation exercise within our homes, business places, Schools, Offices, Motor parks and other private places and dump our waste at the designated places provided by the government to avoid waterways blockers especially during this period.
