Hunger Protest: Kano NHFSS Deploy 2,000 Personnel to Support Security Agencies

In its efforts to secure Nigerian forest and ensure protection of lifes and properties of the general public, the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), Kano state command has deployed 1,980 personnel to support other security agencies on maintaining law and order during planned protest.

The state commandant Abdullahi Al-ameen disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER correspondent in Kano on Wednesday.

According to Al-ameen, the command has instructed it local government commanders in the the 44 local government area in the state to work closely with other security agencies like police, Department of State Security Service (DSS), Nigerian army, Nigerian Security and civil Defense Corps NSCDC and other to ensure no breached of law of death of any protester across the state.

“The life of our people is very important for us at this service, Nigerians have the right to protest but law and order must not be broken as well, we among the security apparatus our mandate to secure forest and life’s of our people and that what exactly going to do,” said Al-ameen.

“We are urging protesters to maintain law and order, the protesters should equally know that Nigeria is one, and under no circumstances that violence prevail, but law and order as well as dialogue, so we are urging protesters to sit down with governor and workout modalities on how to ends the current hardship,” Abdullahi explained further.

“Nigerians hunters is known for handling human rights with care, we in Kano all the revenant stakeholders know our capacity and commitment and we assure the Kano state government and populace that we will maintain our status,” he added.

He then urged personnel of the service to maintain professionalism while dealing with protesters.

The commandant expressed their commitment in working with all security agencies in Kano and nationwide.
