Police Decorates 57 Newly Promoted Officers in Jigawa

The Jigawa state police command led by state commissioner of police AT Abdullahi has decorated fifty seven (57) police officers who were recently promoted from the rank of inspectors of police to substantive rank of Assistant Superintendent of police II.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command image maker disclosed this in a statement sent to journalist in Dutse, the state capital on late Friday.

According to the statement, the decoration ceremony, which took place at the State Headquarters Dutse, was a momentous occasion for the promoted officers and their families.

The promotion was as a result of the Inspector General of Police’s recommendation and approval of the Police Service Commission.

The Commissioner of Police, while congratulating the promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, stated that, to whom is given, much is expected.

He therefore tasked them to consider their promotion as a greater responsibility and dedication in the discharge of their duties as the Nigeria Police has confidence in them.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted Officers, ASP Ibrahim Saleh, expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for sparing our lives to witness this memorable occasion. He then commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Police Service Commission, the Jigawa state Police Commissioner and the Management Team for finding them worthy of this promotion.

He further assured the CP of their readiness, devotion and dedication to serve their fatherland and Jigawa state in particular.

In another development, the State Postal Manager of the Nigeria Postal Service, Mal. Ibrahim Musa has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police in his office.

The visit was aimed at soliciting support and cooperation from the Police in discharging their duties, commending the efforts of the officers and men of the Command in maintaining law and order in the state particularly during the nationwide protest, cementing the existing relationship between the two organizations, and enlightening the CP and his management team the various services rendered by the organization.

The Commissioner of Police assured the Service of the Command’s commitment to providing necessary support to ensure the smooth operation of their services in Jigawa State.
