FGDRI Condemned Abduction, Killing Emir of Gobir, Calls for Action on Perpetrators.

The Fulbe Global Development and Right Initiatives (FGDRI) has condemned in strongest terms the act of abduction, denial of liberty, maltreatment as well as killing the emir of Gobir in Sokoto state Alhaji Isa Bawa.

FGDRI also called on all the security agencies in the country to as a matter of urgency track and apprehend the perpetrators so as to make them face the full wrath of the law.

Dr. Salim Musa Umar, the president of FGDRI disclosed this in a statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER correspondent on Friday.

According to him, there should be no place for such heinous crime and terrorism in Nigeria.

He then commiserate with the family of the late Sarkin Gobir Alhaji Isa Bawa and condole with the government and the people of Sokoto state.

The statement reads “It is with very heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we commiserate with the family of the late Sarkin Gobir Alhaji Isa Bawa which sad incident was said to have arisen from his abduction some weeks ago.

“We condemn in the strongest terms his
abduction, denial of liberty, maltreatment and eventual death. No law abiding and peace-loving person will not cringe at the heinous crime perpetrated upon the highly respected monarch and indeed peace loving leader.

“We do not have a shared of doubt that Aljanna Firdaus is the abode of His Royal Highness, as he has returned to his maker sinless.

“We call on the security and law enforcement agencies to track and apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous act, and make them face the full wrath of the law. What they did is high crime and terrorism. There should be no place for such crimes and terror in our society.

“We similarly call on the security and law enforcement agencies to utilize precise and pin-point intelligence towards eliminating the scourge of heinous violent crimes and terrorism.

“Our very heartfelt condolences go to the family of the late Sarkin Gobir, his family and subjects on this irreparable loss. Our condolences go to the Government and people of Sokoto state.
