Kano Govt. Invites Tricycle Leaders Over Defaultion of Monthly Environmental Sanitation Laws

The Kano state government says it would invite the management of tricycle operators in the state for discussion on why all the times their members involved in Defaultion of Monthly Environmental Sanitation laws.

The state commissioner for Environment and climate change Alhaji Nasiru Sule Garo stated this while briefing journalist shortly after Saturday environmental sanitation exercise held in Kano.

According to him, the ministry is not happy on how tricycle riders default Sanitation laws which is against Monthly Environmental Sanitation act, 2022.

The commissioner commended Kano residents for abiding by stay at home order during the exercise, urging members of the public to continue using the period for clearing their houses and Drainages.

GLOBAL TRACKER learned that during the exercise, 62 defaulters were arrested by mobile court attached to central sanitation committee and fined them the sum of N171,800.
