Kano Pillars U-19 Star, ‘Falcao’ Aims for Glory in Youth League Debut

Kano Pillars U-19 attacking sensation, Adamu Ibrahim Musa, popularly known as “Falcao,” has pledged to lead his team to success in the inaugural U-19 Youth League, set to kick off today.

The opening fixture will see the Legacy Stars host the visiting Kano Pillars U-19 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja at exactly 4:00pm.

Musa, who has modeled his game after former Colombian striker and captain Radamel Falcao, has been a prolific scorer.

He promised that the team would leave no stone unturned as they prepare to face their Sunday opponents.

Falcao, who progressed through the ranks of the Sai Masu Gida youth teams, made several substitute appearances under former Technical Adviser Abdu Maikaba during the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

He has been selected to represent the Pyramid City side in this inaugural Youth League.

The U-19 Youth League is designed for players within that age bracket, featuring teams from across the country in a home and away format.

In a statement by media and information directorate of Kano pillars said the sai Masu Gida U-19 will compete in the Northern Conference, alongside teams like Dynamic African Stars, Grassroots Football Talents Developers, Joecas Football Academy, and Kwara Football Academy.

Other competitors include Kwara United, Legacy Stars, Mighty Jets, Plateau Jets, Plateau United, Shield City, and Yobe Desert Stars.
