Kano NSCDC Arrests Suspected Phone Snatchers in Hotoro

The operatives of the Kano state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two (2) suspected armed robbers (phone snatchers) along Eastern bye- pass, Hotoro by Mohiba Filling station, Kano metropolis.

The arrest according to the command public relations officer SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi followed a sustained monitoring and surveillance by the patrol team of the Corps in Kano.

According to the statement sent to GLOBAL TRACKER, the suspects Abdullahi Ibrahim, 22yrs and Faisal Iliyasu, 20yrs of Tinshama and Challawa/Rangaza Nassarawa, Ungogo local government areas have been picked up by operatives attached to Area F, area command with exhibits such as a locally made gun, a jet knife as well as Cutlass.

“The arrest was made on 30/10/2024 at about 0100hrs (1am). They’re a syndicate of 4 with 2 of their accomplices still at large, effort is being made to apprehend them,” said Abdullahi.

Checks revealed that, the suspects are into armed robbery, phone snatching, drugs dealing among others who specialized in terrorizing residents of Hadejia road and Dakata, Kano State.

It added that the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
