The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) Zone A, has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to address its various demands or face industrial strike action.
The Zonal Coordinator of ASUP Zone A, Dr Abdulazeez Ibrahim, gave the warning in a statement issued to newsmen in Dutse, on Monday.
The statement said, decision was reached at the union’s 111th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, to review the prevailing challenges confronting public polytechnics within its jurisdiction and nationwide.

“In line with our mission to safeguard the integrity of polytechnic education, the National Executive Council has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the proprietors of polytechnics starting from today, October 7, 2024.
“Failure to meet our demands within the stipulated period, will result in series of industrial actions, including the withdrawal of services by our members,” the statement said.
