It’s Over four months, the Deputy President of the Senate Dr. Barau I. Jibrin failed to keep his promise to the players and management of his team of donating a brand new coaster and motorcycle to each of Barau football player and the team’s officials.
A prominent member of New Nigerian Peoples Party Sojan Baka said, Barau Jibrin receiving some NNPP defectors would not worry us; this is how politics works, and we will not vote for someone who fails to meet his promise to his club, Barau Football Club to provide them with a motorcycle and a coaster bus as a contender for the Kano state governorship seat. This is yet another failure for him.
Recall that in June 2024, Senator Barau I. Jibrin made the promise of a brand new coaster bus and one motorcycle for each player and official in celebration of their triumph and promotion to the Nigerian National League NNL.
Barau Jibrin spoke after receiving praise from the club’s administration and players for their exceptional performance in the Maliya Boys’ 3-2 penalty shootout triumph over the Yoca Crocodiles.
He also donate the sum of N5,000,000 to the management and players of the club for their exceptional performance.
