The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” has confirmed that its leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in combat with Israel Defense forces (IDF) in Gaza.

One of the leading figures in Hama’s leadership Khalil Hayya disclosed this in a statement readout to journalist.

According to Hayya, Sinwar’s “martyrdom” and the leaders who preceded him “will only increase the strength and resilience of our movement”.

“The occupation prisoners will not return unless the aggression on Gaza stops, there is a complete withdrawal from Gaza, and our prisoners are released from the prisons,” Hayya said.

“Hamas will continue until the establishment of the Palestinian state on all Palestinian soil with Jerusalem as its capital.”

In another development, the Islamic Republic of Iran has condemned the killing of Hamas leader.

In a statement released by the Iranian foreign ministry saying that the Islamic Republic strongly condemns the assassination and the killings of Palestinian leaders, including Yahya Sinwar.

And it’s also saying that it reminds the suppliers of the weapons and political and financial supporters of Israel, particularly the United States, are considered accomplices and partners in committing these crimes.

Earlier today, we have seen that there was another statement by the Iran diplomatic mission to the United Nations in New York praising the last moments of Yahya Sinwar as heroic and inspiration for the Palestinians’ future generation.

It’s important to note that the reactions that are coming from the Iranian officials are not, in terms of their magnitude, are not that huge as the reactions towards the killing of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s secretary general.

And the reason for that is, despite Iran calling Hamas an ally and defining and depicting Hamas as a member and element of the Axis of the Resistance, Hamas was not an Iranian proxy, it was not created by Iran. However, Hezbollah is a direct Iranian asset in the region.

And that’s why we are not expecting Iran to go further in terms of their reactions or practically doing something.

However, we can see that there is clear sense of grievances from Iran, and when we look at it from Tehran.
