The Kano state upper Shari’a court one Kofar Kudu presided over by Ustaz Ibrahim Sarki Yola has slated tomorrow Tuesday 22 October, 2024 to start hearing on the criminal complaint against the suspended Jigawa state commissioner for special duties Auwal Danladi Sankara and one Tasleem Baba Nabegu on allegations of adultery.
The complainant Alhaji Nasiru Buba allegedly lodged a direct complaint before the court suspecting that Sankara and his wife Tasleem who happened to be the mother of his two children have been engaging in an Illicits affair which is against the Islamic law.
GLOBAL TRACKER recalled that the Kano state hisbah board had on Thursday last week arrested Sankara in an uncompleted building belonging to him at Lamido crescent in Nassarawa GRA within Kano Metropolis with married woman under suspicious circumstances.

However, when the case come on today, the registrar of court inform the parties that the case was slated for tomorrow Tuesday 22 of October, 2024 not today Monday 21 October, 2024.
Briefing journalist shortly, council to the complainant Barrister Sa’idu Muhammad Tudu Wada Esq represented by barrister Haruna Magashi said his client lodged a complaint urging the honorable court to order police or any other agency to investigate Sankara who he accused of having illicit affair with his wife Tasleem.
“Our client is urging the court to investigate the relationship between his wife and the dependent over alleged commission of crime for criminal prosecution or whatsoever,” said Magashi.
On his part, council to Sankara barrister Shehu Sadam Suleiman said his client is in receive of news from social media, electronic and print media that his client was arrested by Kano state hisbah board on allegations of having illicit affair with Tasleem Baba Nabegu, the wife of Nasiru Buba who is the complainant before the court.
According to him, “It is important for journalist and public to note that this a matter of ‘direct criminal complaint’ against our client not a matter instituted by Kano state Hisbah Board as per the records of court and what we know, so this is direct criminal complaint against our client and the complainant wife,” said Barrister Sadam.

The lawyer said his client is completely Innocent and is eager to put himself on trial and depend his name.
“Our client is law abiding citizens and ready to establish in innocent on the case,” sadam added.
However, all efforts to speak to Tasleem or her representative prove abortive at press time.
