The former United States president Donald Trump says he is behind the destruction of Russian of Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, the biggest gas pipeline in the world.
Trump who is the republican presidential candidate in the ongoing election disclosed this in a rally ahead of Tuesday’s US presidential elections.
In a video sighted by GLOBAL TRACKER Trump said “They love to say that I’m a friend of Russia, that I worked for Russia, that I’m a Russian spy. These people are sick. The biggest job Russia ever had was Nord Stream 2, the world’s largest gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. I killed it and nobody did it but me.”
Let us recall that the Republican, when he was president, imposed sanctions on ships building the gas pipeline, which slowed its completion. Biden later lifted these sanctions.
GLOBAL TRACKER recalled that Russia has repeatedly accused US and its allied in Europe including Ukraine for masterminding the attack that destroy the pipeline but Washington denied the allegations.
The destruction has led to the skyrocketing price of the energy in Europe, Africa and Latin America.
During the rally, Trump also called his rival Harris “dumb as a rock” in the interview. “Kamala Harris is dumb as a rock, with a very low IQ,” he told Tucker Carlson.
If re-elected, the Republican hopes to appoint billionaire Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. to the White House.
He did not specify what positions, but said they would be “influential.”
