With three days to election day come on November 5, 2024, but voters have been casting ballots for weeks, now over seventy two million (72) Americans have already casted their votes.

More than half of all voters are expected to do so before election day, although rules surrounding early voting vary by state. As of today, more than 72 million ballots had already been cast, according to a tracker maintained by the University of Florida.

Democrats had traditionally embraced early voting more than Republicans, who have in the past cast baseless doubt on the security of the practice.

This time around, both parties have been urging supporters to vote early.

Meanwhile, both Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris are hitting the American South, continuing to make their closing arguments to voters as only three days remain until Election Day 2024.

Trump is holding two rallies in North Carolina, one in Gastonia and one in Greensboro, but in between will hold an event in Salem, Virginia.

But, the US Presidential elections are decided not by the popular vote, but by the Electoral College system.

Under the system, each state has a set number of electors a candidate can win. Nearly all states award all of their electors to the candidate who wins the most votes in the state.

That can create some complicated math as election results roll in. With most states already all but assured to go to one candidate or the other, the calculation will likely hinge on just a handful of so-called swing states: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada.

GLOBAL TRACKER recalled that one of the reason behind Joe Biden stepping down for Kamala Harris candidature during primaries was age as he is 81-year-old, but if Donald Trump win the white house he will be oldest serving president before he leave office.

During today’s rally, Trump has told his supporters that he feels better than he did 30 or 40 years ago.

Much of the attention this election season had been on 81-year-old Biden’s advanced age. But Trump – who is currently 78 – would be the oldest president ever to take office if he wins this race.

Trump’s listless speeches and increasingly bizarre statement have drawn some concern over his mental acuity.

Speaking in Gastonia, as Trump hailed his pledge to cut taxes on tips, overtime and social security benefits, he took a moment to defend his age.

“I actually feel better than I did 30, 40, years ago,” he said. “I actually think I’m sharper now. There’ll be a time when that won’t be, but I feel I’m sharp,” he said.

“You have to be sharp [so] you can escape these monsters,” he said, referring to US media

However, the democratic presidential candidate and current vice president Kamala Harris has pledges to lower the cost of living for Americans.

“When I walk into the Oval Office I will walk in with my to-do list” to make Americans’ lives better”, the vice president says from Atlanta.

She said that her top priorities include a middle-class tax cut for “100 million Americans” and investigating and stopping grocery price gouging.

Harris cited unnamed “economists” who agreed with her plan, saying that it will improve the American economy.
