Kano Attends Basic Education BenB Review Meeting in Lagos

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Kano, Malam Bashir Baffa Muhammad, alongside the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics (DPRS) of the Kano State Ministry of Education, Yusha’u Hamza, participated in the Basic Education BenB Review Meeting held in Lagos.

The meeting also had the presence of other key officials, including the Board Secretary of the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hajiya Amina Umar and the Director of Social Mobilization (DSM), SUBEB, Balarabe Danlami Jazuli.

The program focused on reviewing and addressing the Federal Ministry of Education’s DOTS thematic areas, which include Data Management, Out-of-School Children Initiatives, Teacher Training and Skills Acquisition.

The Ben B initiative of the federal ministry of education which starts last year 2023, is to strengthen the implementation of basic education across Nigeria and enhance collaboration efforts toward achieving universal basic education goals.

The presence of these distinguished officials from Kano state shows the state’s commitment to advance the sector by adopting all innovative strategies and best practices discussed during the meeting.
