Fighting HIV/AIDS: NEPWAN Awards CSADI, KSACA DG, 5 Others, Empowers Vulnerable Members

The Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWAN), Kano state chapter has awarded the executive director of Community Support and Development Initiatives (CSADI) Hajiya Zainab Ahmad Suleiman for its commitment in supporting all decision and policies and implementation of fight against HIV/AIDS in Kano state.

Also, the Director General of the Kano state Agency for the Control of AIDs (KSACA), Dr Usman Bashir, the head of Society for Family Health (SFH) in Kano state Dr. Bashir Yola and four (4) others were awarded for their dedication to fight against HIV/AIDS in Kano state.

The chairman of NEPWAN Kano chapter Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad said CSADI and others were carefully selected in recognition of their selfless service to people battling the disease state were by making their life’s better.

“The network of people living with HIV and AIDs (NEPWAN) Kano present APPRECIATION AWARD to Haj. Zainab Ahmad Suleiman MFR, JP in recognition to your selfless dedication and mentorship with immeasurable contributions to NEPWAN, ASHWAN, APYIN in Kano state, your tireless efforts and commitment to our achievement have not gone unnoticed to your guidance, Wisdom and unwavering support have been instrumental in our growth and success,” a written comments by NEPWAN on the presented award.

The executive director of CSADI Hajiya Zainab Ahmad Suleiman while receiving the award from DG of KSACA.

The group appreciate the executive director of CSADI describing her “as a mother to people living with HIV and AIDs, less previllage and vulnerable children in Kano state.”

In a remark, the CSADI’s chief executive thank Allah for sparing her life and make her be able to support less previllage, vulnerable children and supporting people living with HIV.

“For over thirty years, I have been supporting this people with every single kobo in my belonging, and I will continue this to the rest of my life,” she said.

“I am happy to received this from my people, my team at CSADI, my family also appreciate the gesture,” She added.

Meanwhile, NEPWAN has empowered (30) of its vulnerable members with a token of money to start and improve their businesses.

The chairman of NEPWAN Kano while lunching the distribution of the token urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of it so as to improve their businesses.

According to him, a follow-up mechanism will be put in place to ensuring maximum utilization and re-supporting sustained once.
