Human remained including Bones litter in the Tadamon district of Syrian capital Damascus have continue to be found were residents recall years of mass killings under country’s former president Bashar al-Assad.

Reuters news agency report that victims were reportedly blindfolded and executed by security forces.

Locals describe hearing nightly gunshots and smelling burning flesh, with children now playing among rib bones and skull fragments. Known as “execution street,” it’s feared to hold mass graves of Assad’s victims.

With Assad ousted, activists demand immediate international access to preserve evidence and provide answers for grieving families.

Satellite images from Maxar show two Antonov AN-124s, among the largest cargo planes in the world, stationed at the Hmeimim air base.

Their nose cones are open, loading equipment, including a Ka-52 attack helicopter being dismantled for transport and parts of the advanced S-400 air defense system.

Guess even Russia knows when it’s time to cut its losses.

At Tartous, Russia’s naval base remains untouched, with two frigates offshore.

The UK’s Channel 4 spotted a convoy of 150+ military vehicles hitting the road in what looks like a very “let’s-make-this-look-organized” retreat.

The Kremlin claims it’s focused on “securing bases and missions,” but after decades of propping up Assad, this exit feels less like a dignified departure and more like sneaking out before the lights come on.
