Houthis, the Yemen armed group has tonight fired Ballistic Missiles at the Israel capital Tel Aviv.
A Geopolitics and war monitor journalist Megaton posted on his Telegram channel that Israel managed to intercept them.
Also, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on its Telegram channel confirmed the development saying ” Sirens was sounded in several areas in central Israel following a projectile that was launched from Yemen.
The IDF later said the projectile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted prior to crossing into Israeli territory.
It went further to say “Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of falling sharpnel from the interception.
Houthis, also known as Ansar Allah is a predominantly Shia Muslim rebel group from Yemen, named after their leader Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi.
The Houthis have been involved in a civil war in Yemen since 2015, fighting against the Yemeni government and its allies, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The conflict has resulted in significant humanitarian suffering, with thousands of civilians killed or injured, and millions displaced.
