The Kano state government says it will enforce the management of farm center Market in Tarauni local government area of Kano state to compile the payment of five hundred thousand naira (500,000.00) for defaulting monthly environmental sanitation laws.
The acting commissioner for environment and climate change Alhaji Muhmmad Yusuf Danduwa disclosed this briefing journalist at the Saturday’s end of the month exercise held in Kano.
He said the management has defaulted environmental sanitation law; the magistrate court attached to the central sanitation committee fine the management of the market only for the commissioner to noticed that the court order was faulted.

“We inspect farm center market and there is no compile and they don’t want even compile, the place is very dirty, unhygienic therefore we take them to mobile court after which it fine them five hundred naira but still they refuse to pay, therefore government is looking for an avenue to enforce that judgment on them,” said Danduwa.
“This time around women and children has come out en-mass and participate in this exercise, look at this place at kofar Na’isa in Gwale local government area, people have fully participated and we commended them for a job well-done,” said the acting commissioner.
Danduwa said any community who participated fully in the exercise will be fumigated and disinfected so as to tackle the spread of communicable diseases.
He then urged people in the state to contribute their quota by cleaning their environment especially gutters and drainages saying the state government will deploys trucks to evacuate all accumulated waste at collection centers and other dumpsites.
