The Nationwide League One (NLO) has appointed Muzammil Dalha Yola as its new Media Representative for North-West Nigeria.

He replaces Abdulgafar Oladimeji, who has held the position since 2023.

Yola, who is the Assistant Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kano State Chapter, was announced as the new representative through a correspondence issued by the NLO Secretariat on its media channels.

Olushola Ogunnowo, the Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, confirmed the development.

In his role, Yola will be working directly under the NLO Communication Director (Tunde Shamsudeen) to oversee and implement the NLO’s media strategy towards stakeholders, including football clubs and academies in the North-West region, which includes Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara state.

Yola will also be responsible for coordinating the media activities of the Nationwide League One Division 1, the NLO U19 Youth League, and other NLO championships in the zone.

This aligns with the NLO’s goal of promoting information about talented youth in the NLO to a wider audience.

It then urged Yola to apply his extensive experience in his new assignment as the league prepares to commence its 2025 football calendar in the first quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, NLO board and the secretariat has commended Abdulgafar Oladimeji for his contributions to the League over the past two seasons and wish him success in his future endeavours.
