Radio Nigeria Equity FM’s Correspondent Emerge Financial Secretary as Kebbi NUJ Elects New Executives

The correspondent of the Radio Nigeria Equity FM in Kebbi Junaidu Sani, has emerged as the financial secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Kebbi state council.

The election took place during state’s triennial delegates conference held in Birnin Kebbi.

Bello Sarki Abubakar from Kebbi Television chapel elected as the Chairman while Ismail Adebayo of the Correspondents chapel to serve as the secretary of the union.

Others are Abubakar Mohammed Dakin-gari as the Treasurer.

Speaking shortly after the swearing in, the new Council Chairman, Bello Sarki Abubakar, assured to revive the lost glory of union in the state.

He said, the administration would operate an open door policy and as well well come advises to ensure the success of his tenure.

The new chairman, promised improvement of the welfare of the members and also training and retraining of Journalists in the state.

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, who was represented by the State Commissioner for information and culture, Yakubu Ahmed BK, assured government continue support to the new executives and urged them to be fair and just to all members.

He commended the electoral committee headed by Abdullahi Tukur of Radio Nigeria for conducting free, fair and credible election.
