The leadership of the Nigeria Legion, Kebbi State chapter, has debunked allegations of sales of the union’s property by aggrieved members.
The Chairman, Birnin Kebbi local government chapter of the legion, Ahmed Shehu Matawalle, who spoke on behalf of the union told journalists that, the allegations are baseless and without facts.
He stated that, the union has constructed a new befitting permanent secretariat where the temporary site was sold after a resolution of the congress decision under the supervision of the National Legal Adviser of the union.
According to him, those aggrieved members wanted to create disunity among members saying, they are members of the opposition party of the PDP while the union is supporting the ruling APC government in the state.
While thanking Comrade Nasir Idris led administration for supporting the Legion, Matawalle assured their support to the administration towards assisting in the security advise in the state.
The Chairman however called on members to be united and support the leadership to ensure success as leadership comes from God and as well to avoid witch-hunting the leaders with unwarranted utterances.
The leadership of the Legion was accused by aggrieved members of selling the temporary secretariat and a plot of land without the members awareness.
