Food Insecurity: 4-Tree Global Fertilizer Offers Best Solution to Farmers’ Challenges in Nigeria — CEO

In its efforts to provides farmers with best solution on fertilizer issues in Nigeria, the 4-Tree Global Fertilizer has produce a solution that would mitigate challenges of inputs by farmers across the country.

Mr. Ebiyam Orji, the country manager of ‘4-tree Global fertilizer’ disclosed this while briefing journalist in Kano as part of the strategy to educate farmers on the importance of using 4-tree for better produce.

According to him, the aims is to cover-up the gap between farmers and inputs especially fertilizer used by farmers across the country. “the aim is to provide alternative to the space or the gap between the farmers and inputs.”

“As the federal government of Nigeria declared state emergency on food security, and as we know their is a lots of disadvantages and effects on chemical fertilizers and other inputs, so one has to introduce products that will not just solve the problem of food scarcity, but to solve the problem of food security,” said Oji.

“The aim is to enable farmers to produce more food in the same farmland they are doing before, and not just more food but healthy one, we brought-in this alternative last year which many farmers used, and this year they are not just seeing it as alternative for the space or lack created or inadequacy of the supply, but now they are seeing it as major inputs for them across the country in the coming season and beyond,” said the country manager.

The manager said unlike other fertilizers when a farmer need to select the one to be use at the beginning, middle or end of farming season, 4-tree can be applied at all the time and don’t have any effects on both plants and peoples’ health.

“This 4-tree fertilizer contained all the Micro and Macro nutrients needed by all the farm produce be it serial, legumes, or cash crops.

He said the solution also help the plants to adopt to many climate changes which favor it to least effects of produce in case of any environmental changes, as well as resistance to diseases and pesticides.

He added that the fertilizer is more cheaper than other fertilizer in the markets.

The manager added that if farmers apply 4-tree fertilizer, the plant may absorbed 95% of the product because the leaves, stem and flowers benefit from it unlike NPK and others which only plant’s roots can use it and only 35% or so will be beneficial to it.
