BySani Magaji Garko

Feb 13, 2025

As we celebrate World Radio Day 2025, I want to take a moment to remind my colleagues especially the young journalists of the power and impact of radio.

Radio has changed the lives of millions and continues to have the power to transform society and individuals.

If we practice journalism with commitment, integrity, and sincerity, we not only shape narratives but also influence positive change in society.

Our words have the power to educate, inspire, and uplift communities.

In this profession, the truth we broadcast is more than just information, it is a responsibility and an act of service to humanity.

To my fellow young journalists, remember that every truthful story you tell and every good deed you do will never go unnoticed.

Even when no one is watching, Allah is aware of our intentions and actions and when we dedicate ourselves to justice, truth, and the betterment of society, we earn rewards not just in this world but also in the Hereafter.

Personally, radio has shaped my mind and transformed my life. It has given me a voice and a purpose.

Let us continue to use our voices for good, for the rewards of sincere deeds are eternal and abundant.

Stay committed, stay truthful, and let your voice be a force for positive change.

Happy World Radio Day!

Nura Haruna Mudi

Broadcast Journalist.
