The federal government Public Complaint Commission (PCC) says it has resolved 14,588 cases in 2024 which were part of the 17,347 cases brought forward from 2023.
The commission said the pending cases during the year under review (2024) is 2,759.
Hajiya Aisha Aliyu, the state director of investigation at the commission disclosed this in an exclusive interview with GLOBAL TRACKER correspondent after an in-house training for investigation officers in Kano Wednesday.

According to her, the commission handled cases with utmost professionalism and commitment to justice for all irrespective of religion, gender, ethnic background or region or any other thing.
The director said there are currently 2,681 pending cases before different officers at the commission.
On the training, the director said it was centered on building the capacity of the commission’s staff for efficiency, “the training will exposed them to know what to do in the event they are asked to handle issues wit regards to complaints.”
“The training focused on how the staff of the commission to be equipped with techniques to carry out their responsibilities which is entertaining cases and be resolving them, so the training will increase the staff’s commitments and passion to work and support the aggrieved people who come here on daily basis to lodge their complains,” she said.

According the director most of the cases is pension and issues with pension administrators, non-payment of allowances against private companies, land encroachments among others.
The director assured Kano residents that the federal government created the commission for entertaining complaints, adding that their doors is always open for any issue.
Meanwhile, the state commissioner of PCC in Kano Zakari Sarina has assured his commitments in training and re-training of staff for better service delivery.
In a chat with GLOBAL TRACKER correspondent, Sarina said staff welfare will be given the needed attention.
