Nigeria’s Shiites Leader Attend Funeral of Hezbollah Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah

World leaders including the leader of the Shiites group in Nigeria sheik Yakubu Ibrahim El-zakzaky has attended the funeral of the former secretary general of Lebanese Shia Islamist political party and paramilitary group best know as Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.

Nasrallah was killed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a coordinated attack in Lebanese capital Beirut on September, 2024.

In a picture shared by geopolitics and war monitoring journalist in middle-east said Zakzaky was sighted with his close-allied at Beirut international airport.

Meanwhile, a Large crowds of mourners dressed in black flocked to a stadium on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital on Sunday.

They also paid their respects to Hashem Safieddine, Nasrallah’s successor, who was killed in a separate Israeli strike before he could assume his post.

Nasrallah, the former leader of the Lebanese militant Shia Islamist group, was one of the most influential figures in the Middle East.

Hours before the funeral began, Israel launched air strikes in southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah rocket launchers.

Speaking from a remote location, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem addressed mourners and vowed to continue down Nasrallah’s path “even if we are all killed.”

Sunday’s ceremony also commemorates Nasrallah’s successor, Hashem Safieddine, who led the militant group for just days before an Israeli strike killed him in early October.
